Please stop by and tour the complex, which is the setting for many community events and private gatherings. In addition to the house and outbuildings, the grounds are enhanced by a beautiful flower and herb garden, a Monarch butterfly garden, and generous open spaces.

Members of the Fort Orange Garden Club volunteer to maintain the gardens and the paths. The Friends of Pruyn House sponsor many educational and entertaining events. The Concerts in the Barn summer series is very popular and offers a relaxing atmosphere, music and dancing as well as a variety of food items. The Friends also host programs and activities for adults and children that provide educational and learning opportunities that enrich the lives of our members and the community. The Pruyn House complex is available for rent to community groups and private citizens. As you will see, this historic site offers a beautiful and tranquil setting.

The Trustees and invite you to share our commitment to this great organization by becoming a member of the Friends of Pryun House. As a community-based not-for-profit organization – now 26 years old -- we encourage you to become a “Friend” and enjoy and embrace all of the benefits the Pruyn House provides to the Town of Colonie and the Capital District. You can become a member of the Friends on this web site, renew your membership, become a volunteer, and make tax-deductible contributions to our conservation and education efforts.
