Message From the President

As the calendar turns to a new year, the Friends see this time as a renewed commitment to good intentions and changes for the better.  As the new President of the Board, it is those two things that will be my personal agenda.

Our commitment to good intentions means a continuation of our traditions.  Popular programs and events that bring you here to our beautiful complex will go on in style.  Be on the look out for some new things too.  We are all working hard at setting up a year in which there is something for everyone.

Change is always necessary to allow an organization to move forward and grow.  The Friends see this positively.  New Board members give us fresh eyes and different perspectives and goals.  New collaborations with other organizations allows exposure for all of us.  It’s all good!

Do you have a special event in your future?  Consider having it here…we know you won’t be disappointed.

On the last page of Oprah’s magazine, she closes by saying “What I know for sure”.  Here’s my version.  I know I’m honored to be serving as President.  I know the Pruyn House is very special and, if you haven’t been here, I know for sure, once you do visit, you’ll be back.
